Blog Worthy Bars in Canada

It’s a rather difficult task to come up with a list of blog worthy bars in the world’s 2nd largest country. I admit, I haven’t been to all the bars in the entire country, but it’s definitely in my bucket list of things to do before I turn 50 (or before I die, whichever comes first. Ha ha!). With the use of my awesome research skills, and a bit of my “drinking” knowledge, here are some of the best bars in Canada that both locals and tourists may find suitable for their taste.
The Whiskey BarFamous for being the 21+ bar in Ottawa, Canada, The Whiskey Bar has been patronized by the locals since it first opened in 2003. We all know that the legal drinking age is 19 in most, and 18 in some parts of Canada, but if you are looking for an ideal venue filled with a crowd of 20 and 30-somethings, then this is the place to be. The ambiance? A combination of pub and dance showdown is what’s going on. It’s open every Friday and Saturday at 9 in the evening. The place has a large collection of whiskey and other hard liquor, and also serves drafts and beer bottles.
The Tonic ClubAnyone who is in the Vancouver area should not miss The Tonic Club. It’s open daily, and pretty much any day of the week is a great opportunity to party and be in a good crowd. If you enjoy Latin, hip-hop, or just about any type of music, then you’re in for a treat at this place. You will never run out of drinks because there are different bars at the main floor and by the dance floor as well. Whether it’s St. Patrick’s Day or not, anyone can dance (and drink) the night away here.
The Garage Sports BarFor all you social networking fanatics, you’ve probably come across tweets or shares about The Garage Sports Bar. One of the main reasons why this place is so famous is because it’s the only bar in Calgary which is focused on billiards and other seasonal sports. They’re more than just proud to say to have their TV sets showing the CFL, FIFA, NBA, NCAA Basketball, Football, NFL, NHL, NLL, and UFC, as well as world soccer, major league baseball, and even college sports. Their menu is typical of any sports bar or pub, including pizza and burgers, but Wednesdays are the best because of the half price on wings.
The Paragon TheatreFormerly known as Marquee, The Paragon Theatre in Halifax is the place to be if you want to dance to a live band or the hottest DJs in town. It was voted in 2010 as the best live venue, and everyone gets their groove on once a month during retro night. For all you Madonna and Annie Lennox fans, here’s the perfect opportunity to sing your lungs out.
I’d like to name a few more, but hey, maybe a part 2 of this post should be in the making, right?

Above all, whiskey bar is the one I love the most. Lots of nice people out there. I often go there alone (since my apartment is just a few blocks away), and I don’t mind. It’s fun spending a few hours , sometimes just a drink, there.

We all live in modern days and I think that many people are enjoying the night life like I am. And those bars are very interesting to visit. But I don’t think I can go there, but if I would be given a chance, I would definitely step in those bars. Reading the article really makes you want to go there.

I’d never been to those bars before, my family always goes out of the country to have a vacation and I hope my mom would pick Canada this year’s destination. I really want to go to even one of those bars. They all look so wonderful!

The Whiskey Bar, I’ve never visited this pub before but I heard stories about it. some of my friends actually recommend visiting this pub because of the ambience. Too bad I’m having a hard time managing my time because of my hectic schedule but after this, there’s no reason not to go. I gotta love this place.

One time, my cousin invited me to go to “THE GARAGE SPORTS BAR”. I was so amazed with the place, because they have lots of televisions in every corner. Not only that – they have billiard tables and darts were the customers enjoyed playing. It is a place where you can really enjoy with your family and friends. What I enjoyed most is that they served delicious pizzas at the cheapest price.
